Cooking Instructions for Pan-Fried Dumplings

(Cooking times will vary depending on your specific kitchen appliances. Always monitor your food closely and use a cooking thermometer to check internal temperatures reach at least 165 degrees F.)

  1. Cut turnip or taro cake into desired size and remove from tray.
  2. Heat a pan on medium/high heat with light oil.
  3. Place turnip or taro cake into pan. After a few minutes when cake is a desired golden brown, flip over in the pan and repeat cooking for the other side.




  1. Bring steamer to a boil.
  2. Place Beef Dumplings on rack, leaving space between each piece. 
  3. Steam for about 8 minutes.
  4. Heat a non-stick pan on high heat with light oil. Place dumplings on pan for about 1 minute or until a golden brown color. Flip over and repeat for the other side.

  2. 將牛肉小餡餅放在架子上,每塊之間留有空間。
  3. 蒸約8分鐘。
  4. 少油在高溫下加熱不粘鍋,將餡餅放在鍋上煎約1分鐘,或直到呈金黃色。翻轉並重複另一側

Cooking Video

  1. Heat a non-stick pan on high heat with light oil. Place potstickers in pan and check that there is a small amount of oil on the bottom of each dumpling.
  2. With heat still on high, add 4 cups of boiling water to the pan (for 10” pan). This will cover the dumplings about half way up with water. Adjust water amount depending on pan size.
  3. Place a glass lid on the pan.
  4. Cook for approximately 10-12 minutes until almost all water has boiled away. If water has boiled away in under 10 minutes, add more water to increase cooking time. 
  5. Just before water is completely dry, add a small amount of oil to coat the bottoms of potstickers. 
  6. Turn down to medium heat and pan-fry dumplings until bottom is golden brown color.


  1. 少油加熱不粘鍋1分鐘。將煎餃放在鍋中,檢查每個煎餃底部是否有少量油。
  2. 在熱量仍然很高的情況下,向鍋中加入4杯開水(用於10英寸鍋)。這樣可以將煎餃大約一半覆蓋在餃子上。根據鍋的大小調節水量。
