Cooking & Storage

Do I need to cook the food?
We carry a large selection of dishes that are pre-heated and BBQ items that are cooked to order. All other cold and frozen foods should be cooked to an internal temperature of at least 165°F. Frozen dumplings are meant to be cooked from frozen and do not need to be thawed. If you are unsure about a specific item, please contact us.

I can't find cooking instructions. How do I cook a specific dish?

Why don't you just print the cooking instructions on the box?
We recognize that dimsum is a rather specialty food that many people do not necessarily have prior experience cooking at home or know which kitchen tools to use. We've found that our online instructions and videos help to best guide this process and allow people of all cooking skills to follow along.

Do I need to keep the food in the refrigerator/freezer?
All foods that you do not plan to consumer right away should be kept refrigerated or frozen for storage more than 2 days.

How long can I keep the food refrigerated/frozen?
We prepare all our dishes using natural ingredients and do not use any preservatives. We recommend any dishes that are refrigerated be consumed within 2-3 days or kept frozen for longer storage.


Delivery Orders

Do you deliver to my area?
We currently deliver to most major areas in the South Bay, East Bay, San Mateo Peninsula and San Francisco. For details, see Delivery Dates & Areas.

Which day is delivery available?
Delivery to certain cities are available on specific days each week. For details, see Delivery Dates & Areas. 

Is there any charge for delivery?
We currently offer free delivery for orders of $50 or above.

I don't see the delivery day I want when checking out even though it's listed. Is there a reason?
Our delivery dates each have a limited number of available slots based on travel distances in order to maintain a safe amount of time stored inside our iced insulation bags. Delivery slots are allocated on a first come first serve basis. If you don't a delivery date that's listed, the reason is likely because that date is full.

I've already place an order. How do I know when it will be delivered?
You will be contacted about your order at several points:

1. When you place your order you will receive a confirmation email from yucca-orders [at] hotmail.com. Please check your Spam box or white-list our email.

2. The day before your delivery, you will receive a reminder email from us.

3. On the day of your delivery, you will receive a text message notification from our delivery app GetCircuit, letting you know when your order leaves the restaurant along with an estimated arrival time. The app and driver will send you another message upon arrival.


Pick-up Orders

I'm picking up at Stanford Shopping Center. Where in the mall is the restaurant located?
We are inside Stanford Shopping Center facing Sand Hill Road at London Plane Way. Give us a call if you have trouble finding us.

Can I request curbside drop-off?
Yes. There is a curbside drop-off zone directly in front of the restaurant with numbered spaces. Just give us a call and we'll run it out to you.


Food Preparation & Allergies

I have a specific allergy. Is this ingredient in any of the dishes?
For a specific allergy please contact us as not all ingredients are listed on the website. 

Is your dim sum really handmade in-house?
Yes! All dumplings are handmade in-house at our Stanford mall kitchen.

Do you add MSG or preservatives?
There is no added MSG or preservatives in our dishes.


Technical

I didn't receive the confirmation e-mail after my purchase. How can I check my order went through?
We are aware that our web service provider Shopify is experiencing issues sending e-mails through to Microsoft servers (i.e. Hotmail, Outlook and Live). If you believe you are having this issue and want to check your order, you can login to your Shopify account or contact us.

I'm having a problem with the website or checking out. How can I get help?
